NIDILRR Funding Opportunities: Transforming Research into Solutions for Individuals with Disabilities

Written by Isaiah Haddon | Oct 29, 2024 4:49:01 PM

Do you have a passion for making a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities? The National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) is offering an incredible opportunity through its Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. All funded projects must address the needs of individuals with disabilities and align with NIDILRR's mission, presenting a robust approach to significant technological or scientific questions.

The NIDILRR’s SBIR program is more than just a funding opportunity;
it’s a pathway to meaningful change.

Proposals should focus on technological innovation and the development of new commercial products or services. The Federal SBIR program aims to stimulate private sector innovation and enhance the role of small businesses in addressing federal research and development needs. Meanwhile, NIDILRR focuses on promoting the commercial application of research to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities. If your organization aligns with the goals of both programs, please see the criteria below for pursuing this opportunity.
