Team Spotlight - Maria Mandés

Meet Maria Mandés, a dedicated and knowledgeable grant writer at USFCR. Born and raised in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, Maria relocated to Florida in 2011 to pursue a degree in International Studies at the University of Miami. She continued her education at the University of South Florida, where she received a Master of Public Health.

Maria's interests outside of work include cooking, reading, taking road trips, trying new cuisines, painting, visiting museums, and relaxing with her dog. She also enjoys hearing live music, such as Latin Jazz and Bossanova, in her spare time.

Maria joined USFCR in April 2022, attracted to the company's commitment to their client's success. As a part of the grants team, she works daily to promote clients' programs and help them positively impact the American public. With a background in public health and excellent brainstorming and outlining skills, Maria's expertise in grant writing lies in the social determinants of health and disease.

Additionally, she is interested in indigenous peoples' research. Her greatest accomplishment since joining USFCR has been growing her industry knowledge, which has enabled her to provide better insight and support to clients.
