Dig Defence, LLC
Dig Defence, LLC is a woman-owned small business (WOSB) based in Muldrow, Oklahoma, with a patented fence design. Originally, the fence was for keeping pets in and pests out. However, the business has grown to provide protection for zoos and airport runways.
They were successfully signed onto a GSA schedule through US Federal Contractor Registration's (USFCR) GSA Program (GSAP).
Background
Dig Defence, LLC is the sole provider of fences designed to go underground and underneath regular barriers. Their product presents them with an advantage in the federal marketplace.
Because of this, they found success in providing their fencing to the Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps. The company wanted to get onto a GSA schedule since it would open a wider range of federal opportunities.
Getting on a GSA schedule requires expertise. Businesses spend a lot of money attempting to get onto a GSA schedule. Success is not guaranteed. Dig Defence needed a cost-effective solution to solve this problem.
Solution
Dig Defence chose to work with US Federal Contractor Registration (USFCR) to get onto a GSA schedule. USFCR's Special Services is trained to handle complex registrations such as a GSA schedule. With their expertise, Dig Defence had the capability to complete this process in a timely and accurate manner.
The GSA did not need to contact Dig Defence during the registration process. This is because UFCR special services acted as a liaison between the two. Throughout the registration process, special services contacted Dig Defence to gather the necessary documentation.
Another advantage that came with the GSA schedule is the cost. It is common for other third-party government registration firms to charge their clients' full price upfront for the GSA registration.
USFCR has a pay-as-you-go system. If a business is deemed ineligible by the GSA, it would no longer have to continue payments to USFCR.
This is because there is no guarantee that they will get on the schedule. Dig Defence paid for the service as it was carried out. If the company were rejected, then they wouldn't have to keep paying.
Outcome
Getting on a GSA schedule is a lengthy process. USFCR was able to complete the registration faster than the government could keep up. Special services started the process in May and finished in August.
The GSA couldn't get around to it until December. With the GSA schedule registration complete, government agencies could now directly order from Dig Defence quickly and conveniently.
